The FAT or Fixed Asset Transmitter performs reliable anti theft loss prevention by utilizing two parts connected by a thin coaxial cable. One part attaches to the asset and the other part attaches to a fixed structure such as a wall, ceiling or floor. Both of the attached parts have tamper switches that will generate an alarm if anyone should try to pry them off there mounting position. They are connected by a thin coax cable. If they are disconnected from the connecting cable or if the cable is cut. An alarm will be created. Also, and end of line resistor will defeat any attempt to surgically interfere with the cable itself.
The MAT or Mobile Asset Transmitter yields dependable anti theft loss prevention by being attached to moving items and if they are moved into areas which are off limits for that asset, and alarm will be generated. This very flexible system allows assets fitted with an anti theft device to be moved freely within a user defined area.
All anti theft device transmitters send a periodic check in signal to the central computer so we know they are working. The same check in signal is also used to track the asset through the loss prevention locator network. Also, the anti theft device will send a low battery signal to the computer about two weeks prior to the time that the battery is to expire.
